Yuka

Yuka (優香, Yuuka), born Hiroko Okabe (岡部広子, Okabe Hiroko), is a Japanese actress, gravure idol, and television host. She made her debut as a gravure idol in 1997 and quickly gained popularity for her videos, photo books, and magazines. In 1998 she joined Horipro's idol group HIP (Horipro Idol Paradise) and eventually became the group's leader until her graduation from the group in August of 2002. After that she began concentrating more on her television and film work. She has enjoyed an extremely successful television career, having appeared in several popular dramas starting from a very young age. To date her only theatrical release has been the 2005 Takashi Shimizu horror film Reincarnation, in which she played the lead character Nagisa Sugiura.
